Starting zone name: Zavith'Loa: The Molten Pools (4 total bosses in zone) (1 boss is a 1 shot mob meaning you only get one chance to pull it and kill it, like Legionaires). Zone is T1 raid content.
Starting stats: 600k min hit points, 100k of each resists (these values are the minimum requirements, meaning if you only have the minimum, you will probably die quite a bit with just barely meeting mark. Therefore, it is really important to start working on your hitpoints and resists sooner than later. If you are wearing a lot of dreadlord gear, you might want to start replacing that gear as soon as possible).
1st named: Teraradus the Gorer (dinosaur mob)
This mob is pretty much a tank and spank mob other than the fact that mob will cast a random icon on the ground, become unattackable and the mob will run to that location. By unattackable, I mean NOONE including tanks will be able to attack him and he will run head on towards that icon and anyone in his path when he runs will get 1 shotted. As soon as he runs to that location, the tank can snap him back to the original pull location. So basic strat for this mob is pull him to any tank location, wait for him to cast the icon on the ground and anyone in his path when he turns jousts out of his path to that that icon spot, tank snaps him back to original location and continue to burn him. Rinse and repeat.
Mob damage output: Think of Deathtoll and the ticking damage. The mob casts constant ticking damage called Lava Fumes which hit on average of 60k - 100k per tick. Barraging Slash tick of 20k - 50k. Ticking damage hit every 2-5 secs, hence the importance of having well over 600k hps. Mighty roar (damage from the him running to the icon location and hitting people in his path) hit for 1.1 mill - 7 mill.
Test raid force buffs: I had 900k hps in the raid, 140k of each resist and boosted cb and potency to about 1k of each stat. No adjustment to any other stats. The Dev advised us that he was buffing our stats to what would be expected from having heroic instance gear from the new heroic zones.
If you have just the min hitpoints, you will die ALOT. All people in raid that had 600k - 700k hithpoints were dying quite a bit, although they were still able to survive somewhat.
2nd named: Kerridicus Searskin
This mob was a PITA and still had quite a few bugs associated with him. The main bug was a new prestige that everyone is given called: Tempered Body was causing the whole raid force to freeze and crash to desktop everytime it was used. With that being said, this is what I learned about the fight. This mob has a stoneskin and reflect shield that is on him at the very beginning of the fight. He will summon an add to help him called: a Lava Titan. This add must be burned immediately. As soon as that add is killed, it will burst into 3 adds called: an Unstable Lava Globule. Burn these adds as fast as possible also. When you kill the Lava Globules, his stoneskin and reflect will come down temporarily and you can start to damage him. While you are burning him, another Lava Titan will spawn, off tank picks up that lava titan and raid force continues to burn the named until he stoneskins and reflects again. When his stoneskin and reflect comes back up, switch to offtanks mob (a Lava Titan) and kill him, globules pop (kill them) and then burn named again. At certain times you might have 3 titans up while you are burning the named but offtank just keeps hold them until they are needed to be burned to take down his stoneskins.
This fight is brutal on scouts for some reason. Our scouts were getting torn up and were getting one shotted over and over again.
Mob damage output: Again, ticking damage like crazy but this ticking damage is range based it seemed. Closer you are the harder the ticking damage is. Ticking damage is called: Barraging Slash and ticks for 20k - 50k if far away from mob (approximately 15 meters) or if you are up close to the mob, ticks for 100k - 300k. Now another complexity to this fight is that when the Titan and Globules die, if anyone is near the spot where they die other than the tank, they will become infected with Lava Scold and that person will infect other people with it. Lava Scold ticks for 100k-400k damage.
We were able to get his mob down to 20% and then someone didn't unspecc out of Tempered Body and we froze and crashed. We did about 20 pulls on this mob because of the bugs and the Dev having to constantly reset the mob and adjust his buff packages and damage output. Finally the Dev said that he needed to do some internal things with this mob and called raid to an end.
We did not have any wizards and only 1 warlock in raid at the time. So our dps was relatively low as well as our crit chance was still at ToV levels, which the Dev advised is what he wanted us to be at since that is what most people going into that zone will be at. The dev set up the groups to what would be expected out of a normal straight out of ToV raid force. On avg everyone had over 700 crit chance.
As far as resists go... upon finishing the sig line, characters get an item that lets them remove adorns for free while preserving the item. It makes the adornments No Trade, but that's minor. What it WILL let us do, however, is bring extra resist adornments of the various types and swap them out for raid fights as needed until we get new gear with the resist we need to wear all the time.
Edit: The bard resist songs will probably be useful too.
I am willing to suspend my disbelief, But not hang it by the neck until dead.
