DOTS and debuffs are still generating hate when the mem wipe occurs so those w/ large numbers of them tick will still have quite a bit of aggro right after the memwipe.
last name counted, my dps was probably really low on those too - My rotation includes macro'd spells that target you/MA and when my coercive shout was up, I wasn't using them so that I could target the mob and cast immediately when it switched so that hopefully we wouldn't have any deaths.
are you physically switching targets to holy or another tank when you are using coercive shout?
If so, get ahold of me (meri) in game, I have some things that might improve reaction time for you in the long run.
No, not at all. My coercive shout is hotkeyed to Holy 90% of the time (Sometimes I hotkey it to shaaboop depending on the fight). My 'problem' was that during the fights on those mem wipe mobs, if it was my turn to use coercive shout, I pretty much said screw DPS until after I used it. The reason is because my other spells are also macroed to target holy because some of them are spells I can cast on myself to trigger spell damage. I use it so often in my rotation that it was impossible to keep a target on the mob itself, which is what I was trying to do so that I would have Coercive Shout off as soon as it targeted a non-tank, rather than wait for a call.
I suppose I could wait for the call, but I was hoping in the few seconds difference between me knowing immediately and a call for it, I was saving someone's life and thus stopping heal switching/rezzes/rebuffing etc from having to happen.
Do the few seconds really matter? Thoughts?
Thanks!

Cool, I was hoping you had it targeted to him by name.
Honestly? I think for the first few seconds after a memwipe, you cant do anything about aggro... I have seen way too many fights with memwipe where the tank fires off a "guaranteed aggro" art right after wipe and nothing happens.. I think its a few second delay.
Personally, if you are doing safety for stuff (i.e. having on certain fights to monitor for aggro loss) being able to pull off your assigned task takes first priority, then dps.
